Christine Sanchez, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) graduated from Keene State College with a B.A. in Psychology. Christine obtained her M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. After her Masters Degree, Christine worked at an elementary school in Florida where she worked with children with emotional and behavioral disturbances. In 2015, Christine moved to Virginia and began working with at risk youth in a therapeutic foster care setting. Here she worked with adolescents as well as their families to help facilitate re-unification. In 2018, Christine started her work in Mental Health Emergency Services where she evaluated and connected those in crisis with the appropriate levels of care. In 2019, Christine moved to Houston and began working at an Eating Recovery Center while also working at a private practice providing outpatient therapy to individuals.
Philosophy
I first began my pursuit of counseling because I wanted to help people. I wanted to give people hope that life does not always have to be so difficult. Throughout my journey in this field, I have realized that, while I cannot “fix” things for others, I can give them tools and skills to help them be able to accomplish these changes on their own.
I enjoy working with individuals from all walks of life, but I especially enjoy working with adolescents, young adults and adults. Areas that I focus on are anxiety, depression, trauma, and day-to-day struggles.
I like to use skills and tools from different modalities such as DBT, CBT, and ACT so that each person can have the best fit for their needs. No two people are the same, which means no two treatment plans will be the same. Together, we will develop personalized goals as well as individualized steps to help you achieve them.
