I believe that my ideal client is looking for answers. Maybe they have been searching and even asking others but not given the hope that was needed. The issue at hand is something that they are looking for a purpose and meaning in life. Optimism is needed for facing whatever struggles in life that they are facing. A promising viewpoint on life is the ultimate goal as this will impact them in a positive manner.
I feel that I have had multiple opportunities to help those in need. From the very young in the schools to the very aged in nursing homes, I have been able to help clients with depression, anxiety, grief, self-esteem, and life transitions.
Asking for help is a sign of courage and strength; not the other way around. Admitting that you need additional help can be a scary process at first but realize that there are many coming in for counseling during these times. Counseling can provide hope, clarity, and solutions.
